Advocacy SupervisionThe importance of having external supervision as an advocate must not be undervalued. A space away from the workplace where a worker can reflect constructively on their own practice and explore difficulties and dilemma’s that arise in the course of their work.
Often it is not yet that easy to find this kind of support. Our line managers or volunteer coordinators will be guiding us in line with the expectations of the organisation, practice issues and as a source of practical advice and guidance but they may well be very stretched in terms of the time they have available to
